Description
This class (Illinois Concealed Carry) is for students who wish to apply for the Illinois Concealed Carry permit and who have already completed their first 8 hours of training and/or approved coursework, acceptable by the Illinois State Police standards, per the Firearm Concealed Carry Act.
Students with either previous military experience or approved 8 hours of firearms training must bring proof of their documentation at the start of class. Copies of the Honorable Military Discharge (DD-214) or other approved certification will satisfy the State of Illinois. Examples include: NRA Basic Pistol (8-hours), NRA Personal Defense Inside the Home (8 hours), NRA Personal Defense Outside the Home (8 hours). Other approved documentation and training include: Active Duty Military (Current Duty Orders) and Military Reserves. Concealed Carry Permits/Certificates from: Florida (4 hours), Kentucky (4 hours), Michigan (4 hours), Missouri (4 hours), Nevada (4 hours) and Utah (4 hours) are also accepted with an additional approved 4 hours firearms trainings course with range. Examples include: NRA Home Firearm Safety + range (4 Hours) and NRA Defensive Pistol (4 Hours).
Completion of the 8 hours Illinois Concealed Carry class combined with proof of completion of 8 hours approved previous firearms training or the DD-214 military document satisfies the Illinois 16 hours requirements to apply for a permit to carry concealed in Illinois. The Illinois concealed carry course consists of both classroom work and range work. Students will be required to successfully complete the course and pass a practical range proficiency test.
Students must read, write and understand English and be able to follow all of the directions given by the Instructor. Students must pass a practical proficiency test on the firing range, scoring no less than 70% with a minimum of 30 rounds. 10 rounds fired at 5 yards (15 Feet); 10 rounds fired at 7 yards (21 Feet); and 10 rounds fired at 10 yards (30 Feet) distances using a B27 target. 10 practice rounds will also be allowed. Once completed and passed the classroom and range portions, the student will receive a certificate of course completion. This is not an NRA-approved course.

Utah permit adds on the following 7 states:
Delaware, Georgia, Louisiana, North Dakota, Washington, West Virginia, Wyoming.
Upon completion of the Illinois course, you may use your obtained Illinois certificate to apply for non-resident permits from the following states: Florida and Arizona
Each state will charge a different amount for their own permit at the time of application. Applications are available by contacting the appropriate state.
